Why Islam?

Straight Talk. It is rare that non-Muslims study Islam before he made the rounds of other religions to which they are exposed. They usually consider Islam after they realized that they are deeply dissatisfied or disappointed religions familiar to them, such as Judaism, Christianity and all the "isms" fashion: Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism (and, as my daughter said once: "tourism").

Perhaps other religions do not they bring answers to existential questions such as "who created us? "Or" Why are we here? ". Perhaps other religions do not they come to reconcile the injustices of life with the notion of a fair and just Creator. Perhaps there of hypocrisy in the clergy, untenable principles of faith in the canon, or maybe the Scriptures Have there been significant changes. Whatever the reason, there comes a time when we discover flaws in the religions we are familiar with, and that's when we decided to look elsewhere. And the ultimate "elsewhere" is Islam.

Maybe some Muslims will not like to hear me say that Islam is the "ultimate elsewhere," but it is indeed. Despite the fact that Muslims make up between a quarter and a fifth of the world population, the media non-Muslims Islam and convey dirty about it so odious calumnies that few non-Muslims perceive Islam positively . This is often the last religion studied by those who are seeking the truth.

Moreover, it often happens that when a non-Muslim decided to study Islam more closely, he studied religions have grown before his skepticism. And he asks: if each write "God" is corrupted, why the Book of Muslims be different? If charlatans have manipulated religions to suit their interests and aspirations, how can we believe that the same thing does not happen with Islam?

The answer can be summarized in a few lines, but it would take whole books to explain. But briefly, we can say that: there is a God who is just and equitable, and wants us to get the reward of Paradise. However, He has sent us in this world for us to test, to distinguish those who are worthy of his reward of those who are not. If we were left to ourselves, we would be lost. Why? Because we would not know what He expects of us. We can not take our boat to the vicissitudes of this life without being guided by Him, and it is through His revelations guide us.

There is no doubt that the revealed religions before Islam had been corrupted and that is why we received a series of revelations. Ask yourself the question: why would God revealed another revelation if the preceding scriptures were not altered? It is only to the extent that the previous scriptures were corrupted that God had to descend another revelation, to keep humanity on track.

We must therefore assume that the previous scriptures were corrupted, and believe that the last revelation is pure and uncorrupted, because if it was not, it should also be replaced because we can not imagine a merciful God let his subjects astray. We can easily imagine, however, is that God sent down a scripture and the corrupt men, then that God sent down another Scripture that men and corrupt that one too ... and that the same scenario is repeated again and again. Until He makes us down a final revelation He promises to preserve until the end of time.

Muslims consider this final revelation is the Qur'an. And perhaps you will consider one day, it is worth to be read and studied. So back to the title of this article: Why Islam? Why should we believe that Islam is the religion of truth, the religion whose book is the ultimate revelation and pure?

"Oh, trust me ..."

How many times have you heard a similar response? A famous actor often told, jokingly, that residents of different cities insult each other using various expletives. In Chicago, for example, they insult each other with these words and Los Angeles, they do it with such other words. But in New York City, people just say, "trust me."

So do not trust me - but trust your Creator. Read the Koran, studying various books on Islam and visit websites. But whatever you decide, start now, do it seriously and ask your Creator to guide you.
