Respect of Women in Islam

Islam is given a special respect to women, because she is the kindhearted mother, the dearly loved wife and the loving daughter. This is the reality which has proved by many verses of the Glorious Quran. Everyone should give respect to women, they should not be treated in a bad way. It has clearly mentioned in the Quran that both men and women have the same rights. They should not be treated separately.

Islam says always treats women kindly; respect them because they are your mother, daughter, sister and wife. Islam always considers women as equivalent to men. Islam gives her respect and rights to live in society. Islam is the religion which is true and gives importance to the rights of women. Any other religion does not provide complete rights to the women, and treat them as of lower than men. Many Hadiths and Quranic verses have shown and proved this reality. Those people, who don't respect women should definitely read these verses.

One of my relatives had three daughters, he was unhappy with having three daughters then Allah gave him a fourth daughter as well. He thought that his sins have increased that's why Allah is showing him in the form of giving daughters. He moved towards at the place of Maulana, he asked about the compensation of his sins so that he could be blessed with a son, the Maulana replied, "it is your good deeds that you have blessed with four daughters, gives them respect, then Allah will give you respect, success and wealth in your life." He became happy to hear that, and started to love his daughters.

In the same way many examples can be found in this Islamic society. If one reads the Quran and Islamic point of view with an open heart and eyes, he will absolutely respect the women. Really, Islam embrace women in a very sky-scraping honor status. Muhammad (S.A.W) had provided his position in Islam, before His arrival people buried their daughters just after the birth. But Muhammad (S.A.W) ended this bad custom, and provided an honorable position to women.

Women have a high position in Islam, and no one can deny from this reality. Respect of women in Islam can be estimated by everyone. There are several rights of women that should be fulfilled. It is the obligation of women to get an education; by getting an education she gets respect in the society. Islam gives honor to women by making them the queens of their homes. In the light of Quranic verses and Hadiths, everyone can easily understand the respect of women in Islam.
